Coasters

                 his is the actual pattern of the

                 men of the gaming table.  It was

                 a fun project to practice cutting skills just after marquetry school.  It is one of the etudes used in the school today--a good exercise.  Using different colored veneers in making the packet gives life to each coaster.  The Boulle technique (tarsia a incastro) was used.
